TechSystems Professional Services is a small group of professional independent consultants, certified instructors, systems programmers and product administrators, some with over 30 years of experience in the field.
Our Professional Services performs on-site consulting in the areas of product implementation, conversions, upgrades, security interfaces and product integration between other operating system platforms. On major projects, we use a team approach with representatives from TechSystems combined with selected staff members to form a project team for implementation of a project. The project is clearly defined with the development of a written project plan that details the tasks and team member responsibilities, to ensure project integrity and an on time completion.
Our Training Services area consists of seasoned certified instructors that are experts on their products in all areas. They have used the products in production environments at numerous IT centers, converted product databases, use advance product utilities and have extensive knowledge of the short cuts that many of the products offer. Since many of our classes have students with different levels of expertise on the products, our instructors customize the training program as required, to ensure each student achieves the desire knowledge transfer.We take pride in our training materials which are maintained up to date and printed only when classes are ordered, ensuring that only the most current materials are used for each session.

The company was founded in 1989 by Kent Herald, who started his data processing career in high school 1972 working as a part time key punch operator on an IBM 024 at night and an operator during the day after high school on a IBM 1130 series . He has seen the computer industry change extremely fast during the last 30 years, from the work horses of the IBM 360/60 - 370/158 days to the new IBM Enterprise server running z/OS, Z/VM, OS/390 and Linux all on the same zSeries™ processor. His work career has been in the areas of operations/production control, systems programming, automation, data center site construction, management and most recently cross-platform integration between z/OS, MVS, AS400, Unix and the Windows/2000/2003 Server operating systems.
